In May 2002, reality TV was turned upside down with the launch of what was soon to become Living TVs flagship show for a further six consecutive years... Most Haunted. Already a widely known figure among the paranormal community and paranormal programming, Derek was invited to join the Most Haunted crew as their spiritualist medium and quickly became the star and well known face that he is today.

Derek starred in Most Haunted from the pilot episode through to October 2005. During his period on Most Haunted, Derek investigated over 100 different locations, including a series of live investigations on Most Haunted Live
